Prayer- Drawing Closer to the Lord
Prayer is at the very heart of all we do at Ascension. We encourage each member of our Ascension family to be praying each day, and we offer many groups and resources to enable people to do just that.
+ Our Intecessorary Prayer Team has at least one person praying every day for those with ongoing needs, like cancer or other long-term needs. + Our Prayer Chain responds with short-term prayer concerns for those with immediate needs, such as surgery. + Our Missionary Prayer Group meets montly to pray for our mssionary and missionary concers around the world. + Each month, we publish a Prayer Focus guide which encourages specific prayers for various ministries at Ascension. + Prayer Partners pray for support for members who experience significant life moments, such as joining our Ascension family or a baptism. + We make Prayer Turbans for women undergoing chemotherapy treatments to wear when they lose their hair + We make Prayer Chaplets and send them to our military personel in Iraq.
There are also other plans for new prayer ministries in the future, so check back here often.

Martin Luther on Prayer... |
|---|
“I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God’s hands, that I still possess”
“All who call on God in true faith, earnestly from the heart, will certainly be heard, and will receive what they have asked and desired, although not in the hour or in the measure, or the very thing which they ask. Yet they will obtain something greater and more glorious than they had dared to ask.”
