Get to Know Pastor Jack Slotterback
Pastor Jack grew up in Haddonfield. He has degrees from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA (B.A), and The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (M.Div). He served parishes in Freeland, PA, and Philadelphia before coming to Ascension in 1989. His wife Joanne is a technology specialist at Voorhees Middle School.
The Slotterback’s have two grown children, Jeffrey and Jamie, and a bichon, named Luther. Pastor Jack enjoys all areas of his ministry, especially preaching, prayer ministry, caring for others, Bible studies, and being part of The Ascension Worship Team. Along with playing acoustic guitar and some occasional song writing, he also is an avid Phillies, Eagles and Flyers fan, which he says has given him “untold hours of aggravation and suffering”! Other interests include enjoying the Philadelphia Orchestra, and spending time with his family at the Jersey shore, especially Cape May.
