We welcome Pastor Carl Joecks  as our preacher and liturgist for this Sunday’s worship service.  Pastor Joecks is serving as our Interim pastor during this transition time.  You can reach Pastor Joecks by calling the church office (547-6669) and leaving a message on his voice mail.

We welcome Sister Emily McMullen as our guest organist for our worship service this Sunday.

Gwynn and Taylor Barger are now with other Lutherans from New Jersey as part of a mission team to visit our companion synod, the Lutheran Church in Namibia.  Please use the Prayer Focus Guide for July to pray for them each day of their trip, asking for God’s travelling mercies over them, safety, protection and provision in their quest to spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  May God bless you all.  Please take the time and go to www.alchh.organd read JOURNEY TO NAMIBIA written by Gwynn and Taylor, complete with pictures and maps.  Very well done. 

Join us for the “first” of our Summer Bible Studies this Tuesday evening, August 3^rd at 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  at the home of Rob Jakubowski, 33 Creston Ave., Audubon.  The topic will be Spiritual Renewal. Articles for the next issue of Tidings (covering activities for September, October and November) are due on Sunday, August 15^th.  Please also notify office of any address changes or other updates.

We are collecting SCHOOL SUPPLIES again this year for the children of Greater Collingswood Children’s Center.  Please put new pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, crayons, glue sticks, markers, white lined paper, colored pencils, crayons, pocket folders, construction paper, composition books, etc. in thebox under the table in the Social Hall.  The collection will continue through Sunday, September 12^th.

Scheduling is difficult during the summer months.  If you are a Worship Assistant and know which Sundays you will (or won’t) be able to serve, please call the office to let us know, so we don’t schedule you when you are not available.  Thanks for your willingness to serve.

Church Committees Sunday has been postponed until Fall.  But we encourage everyone to offer a little of their time and talents during this time of transition for our church family.  Please call the church office if there are ways that you think you can help.

As we enjoy the summer vacation time, remember that the ministry of Ascension continues every day, whether you are here or not.  Your faithfulness in giving is most appreciated!
